FREE 8-WEEK SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER SUPPORT SPECIALIST CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Are you interested In a Career as an Addictions Recovery Peer Advocate or Recovery Coach? Are you looking for an opportunity to obtain knowledge and experience working in the behavioral health field? Want to be a part of a healthcare team serving those with substance use disorders?
This program applies to the educational training for partial fulfillment to become a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) or Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) through the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Providers of New York State (www.asapnys.org).
Participants will receive:
- Convenient online (via Zoom) education: Monday – Thursday (9:00 am – 4:00 pm), except for simulation and shadowing days.
- Four days (Thursdays) of in-person simulation training at the Health Professions Hub on the D’Youville University campus.
- 2 Weeks of first-hand shadowing experience at partnering professional agencies.
Our 2022-2023 Sessions STILL Have Spots Available:
- September 26 – November 18 (2022) or January 9 – March 3 (2023)
