The Non Profit Leadership honors women who display high energy and skill in a leadership role at a non profit institution or organization. Congratulations Julie.
Public Citizens of the Year Award 20142013 and 2014 - Save the Michaels Founders Avi and Julie Israel were the received the Public Citizens of the Year for 2014 from the National Association of Social Workers, New York State Chapter. The award is provided to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the area of human services, which go beyond the expectations of her/his job. One whose work is reflective of the very commitments and ethics the social work profession is based on.
Niagara Frontier Subcontractors Association Donations Award 2013 & 2014December 18, 2013 - The Niagara Frontier Subcontractors Association has chosen Save the Michaels of the World, Inc. as their Donation Award Recipient for 2013 recognizing their work in bringing awareness to the prescription drug epidemic. They were the guests of honor at a dinner reception at the Pan American Grill in the Hotel at the Lafayette.
Gold Key Achievement AwardNovember 16, 2012 - On Nov. 16, 2012, Save the Michaels of the World received the Gold Key Community Achievement Award for their advocacy working to make change on how the over prescribing of opioid pain medications has affected our community.
St. Joe's Collegiate InstituteMay 30, 2012 - St Joe’s Collegiate Institute honored Michael David Israel by planting a tree in his memory. Avi and Julie attended along with students, faculty, administrators and friends.
